District Art Societies
In order to spot out artistic talents and provide Opportunities for the artists for their exposition District art societies are functioning under the chairmanship of District Collector concerned.
Identification Cards
Identification Cards are being issued to various artists along with the signature of the Chairman District Art Society / District Collector. These Identity cards are being used to avail financial assistance and concession in travel
District Art Awards:
The Scheme of giving awards to 5 eminent artists in each district according to their age and eminence was started in the year 2002-2003. The Government has constituted a 9 member committee comprising of the concerned District Collector as Chairman. Inviting applications through press release given by the chairman in the newspaper for issuing of awards to the artists. After receiving applications the award selection committee headed by the District Collector is selecting the qualified artists for the awards.
The following awards are given under this scheme through the District Art Societies:-
