Deliverables:

i. Cost effective wet chemical synthesis of nano-structured (nano-particulate, thin film, nan-wire, nano-tube, hollow sphre) transparent metal oxides (TiO2 and ZNO) and their composite materials.
Ii. Optimisation of the anchoring of commercial N3 and N719 dyes (reported to be best performing dyes in dye sensitized solar cell) over the nano-structured transparent metal oxides (TiO2 and ZNO) and their composite counterpart to prepare photo-anode for dye sensitized solar cell.
iii. Investigation on the photo-current conversion performance of the fabricated photo-anode in dye sensitized solar cell.
iv. Understand the kinetics and energetic of the recombination reaction of the electrolyte in anode / cathode interfaces and the transportation of photo excited during the performances of DSSCs using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.
