Appropriate Technological Interventions for Ensuring Sustainable Livelihood for Womenfolk in Mizoram

Main objectives:         

• Providing  technologies  for  utilization  of  natural resources and by-products for sustainable livelihood generation
• Creating a common platform for the developing/deploying location specific technologies for women
• Developing individual and group entrepreneurship
• Creating network of women groups & facilitate income generation programmes

 

What was achieved:

Facility up-gradation for CNC EDM wire-cut machine

Main objectives : To facilitate a submerged type CNC Wire-cut EDM machine with latest state of art technology for fabrication of high precision critical R&D components with required accuracy and surface finish and smaller wire diameter.

What was achieved :

  • Survey on state of art of EDM wire cut machine.
  • Procurement of machine.
  • Installation and Commissioning of said machine.
  • Manufacturing of test samples.
  • Manufacturing of critical components of R&D projects.

Enhancement of capability for melting and casting of high Quality ferrous components for engineering applications

Main objectives : To improve the capability for melting and casting of ferrous alloy For manufacturing of high quality precision components for engineering applications

What was achieved :

1. Selection and purchase of Critical Spare parts for overhauling of the 100kg/200kg Induction melting furnace.
2. Proving trial of melting and casting of ferrous components with equipment.

Capability building for analysis of complex three dimensional components and assemblies

Main objectives : The objective of the project is the flow analysis of complex 3D geometries in order to obtain a superior design of complex engineering components along with optimized shape & size. It will further be subjected to virtual experimentation to measure its performance by simulating the actual working condition.
