The Institute is looking for dynamic and creative Technical Officers in various area / discipline for CSIR-CMERI Hqrs at Durgapur (West Bengal).  However, the incumbent shall be liable to be transferred to the Institute Centre CSIR-CMERI CoEFM, Ludhiana (Punjab) and to any of the CSIR Labs/Instts. including its centres as per the need in public interest. A Walk-in-interview will be conducted at CSIR-CMERI, Durgapur during 4th – 5th October, 2018 to select candidates for engagement as Research Associate/Project-SRF/JRF/CSIR-UGC JRF(NET)/Project Assistant Level-I/II/III under various projects. The selected candidates will have opportunity of hands on training/exposure of working under different R&D projects at state of the art Laboratories. The vacancy position may vary either way even across the disciplines and projects.

CSIR-CMERI Centre of Excellence for Farm Machinery (CoEFM), established in 1965 (an extension centre of Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute, Durgapur) under the aegis of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR). The present priority areas of research of the institute are: Mechanical Design, Conservation & Precision Farming Machinery and Biofuel.
