We offer various technical expert services to the Institute and outside clients in the area of Internet of Things, Computer networking, Software development, IT related trainings, Surveillance systems, and many more.
The 'Robotics & Automation (R&A) Group’ at CSIR-CMERI is executing R&D Projects to address requirements of civilian, industrial, strategic as well as societal sector. There are Sponsored CSIR funded projects and Bilateral projects ongoing in the division. Group is also providing automated solution for various requirements to relieve human operators from remote, repetitive and hazardous activities.
The Center for Advanced Materials Processing (CAMP) at the Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CMERI) was created in 2005 to address the challenges in the area of advanced materials. The thrust area of work focuses on experimental research and development in nanomaterials processing for different applications. It comprises facilities to synthesize and characterize various functional nanomaterials.
Material and Structural Evaluation Group is Equipped with state –of-the test facility in the area of Destructive and Non destructive testing.
The Group has a long record of service to different Industries throughout the Country including Blue Chip Public Sector Organization (viz NTPC, IOC,DVC, Coal India etc)
Industrial Service and Research Group of CSIR-CMERI is actively engaged in providing various engineering solutions to Industries (mainly Power plant industries) for the last 30 years. The domain of work of this group can be classified under mainly four categories:
Scientists in Energy Research & Technology Group are involved in R&D activity in the field of Fluidized Bed Technology,Gasification/Combustion/Pyrolysis, Clean Coal Technology, Biomass Energy, and Plasma Gasification of Solid Waste. We have developed different types of gasifiers for versatile applications.
We have also expertise in developing machinery for post-harvestprocessing of ginger/turmeric etc.
We also provide service like Calibration of Thermal and Fluid Flow Measuring Instruments.
The main goal at Surface Engineering and Tribology Group is to steer the development of technology from the advances in science and engineering research carried out through collaborative and innovative mode of research in science and engineering. The group is comprised of interdisciplinary team of Engineers & Scientists from having Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering and Material/Chemical Science background. The efforts are still in nascent stages; however, some of the developed technologies have transferred to industry.
