Dr. Chanchal Loha did B.E in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology (IIEST), Shibpur in 2004 and completed M. Tech in Thermal Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Varanasi in 2006. He joined CSIR-CMERI in 2006 as a Junior Scientist. He obtained PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata in 2013. Presently he is working as Scientist in Energy Research & Technology Group of CSIR-CMERI. He has vast experience in the field of Fluidized Bed Gasification of Biomass, Clean Energy Generation from Coal, CFD modelling of gas-solid multiphase flow, Drying of agro-crops etc. Dr Loha has published more than 10 papers in national and international Journals and 20 papers in national and international conferences. He has also written one book chapter and applied for three patents.
