The Tamil Nadu Eyal Isai Nataka Manram confers “Kalaimamani” awards to felicitate the famous artistes who are serving in a commendable manner in the field of Eyal, Isai , Natakam, Natyam, Cinema, Isai Natakam, Folk arts, Television and related arts. So for 1594 artistes have been honoured. Conferment of All India Level Awards for the artistes who have served for the cause of development of different Arts in the name of Bharathi, M.S.Subbulakshmi and Balasaraswathi .
In order to encourage the Drama art forms and Drama artistes involved in such arts, the Manram extends grants to Drama troupes for the production and staging of new Historical, Mythological, Social in tamil Plays highlighting culture, literature and bravery of Tamilians and also for the production and staging of best Dance Dramas based on Tamil Arts, Literature and Culture. So far, 47 Dramas and 33 Dance-dramas have been produced and staged under this scheme.
Under this scheme the manram extends grants for the production and staging of new Tamil dance-dramas based on Tamil literature and culture. So far 20 Dance-Dramas have been staged by availing this grant
With a view to promote National Integration through various cultures and art forms and to enable the people of other states to know about the arts and cultural heritage of Tamil Nadu, a scheme known as Inter-State Cultural Exchange Programme is being implemented by the Tamil Nadu Eyal Isai Nataka Manram.
With a view to disseminate our Tamil Culture and Arts abroad and to enable the Tamil Diaspora to continuously experience art and culture , traditional cultural programmes are being conducted abroad through the Tamil Nadu Eyal Isai Nataka Manram. So far Cultural troupes were sent to Oman, Malaysia, Australia and France through the Tamil Nadu Eyal Isai Nataka Manram.
The Tamil Nadu Eyal Isai Nataka Manram extends grants in the range of Rs.5,000/- to Rs.10,000/- with a view to encourage and provide opportunities to the budding artistes by training them and thereby identifying talented youth in the field of Vocal Music, Bharathanatyam, Instrumental Music for staging cultural programmes through Voluntary Cultural Organizations, So far, 1941 young artistes were benefitted under this scheme.
The Manram extends grants to folk artistes and troupes for costumes and musical instruments. Under this scheme, A sum of Rs.2,000/- is provided to individual folk artistes, a sum of Rs.6,000/- is provided for cultural troupes as grant for the purchase of musical instruments and costumes. So far, 1437 folk artistes / troupes have been benefited.
