The new alpha300 series consists of advanced Raman, Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and Scanning Near-field Optical Microscopy (SNOM) imaging systems. Its sophisticated design ensures exceptionally high-throughput and sensitivity. A unique modularity allows for single-technique solutions as well as correlative imaging configurations. The flexibility of the WITec's Raman microscope alpha300 R series allows the system to adapt to all requirements, combine different imaging techniques and to evolve to meet new or expanded needs.
The SpectroVisc Automatic Viscometer is a bench-top semi-automatic kinematic temperature bath viscometer optimized for the analysis of used and new lubricants. It conforms to the requirements in ASTM D445, D446, D7279, IP 71 and ISO 3104. It is also the ideal system for used oil analysis laboratories that need to test a wide range of lubricant viscosities. Viscosity analysis of used oil provides an early warning of lubricant degradation and contamination.
The Malvern Zetasizer provides exceptionally high performance that incorporate combinations of a particle size analyzer, zeta potential analyzer. Particles from less than a nanometer in size to several microns can be analyzed by a range of variants. The systems measure size using dynamic light scattering, zeta potential using electrophoretic light scattering, and molecular weight using static light scattering.
The contact angle measuring system is primarily used to study the automatic measurements of the wetting behavior of the solid and as well as for series tests and systematic surface analysis. It consists of an automatic video based contact angle measuring system with a multiple dosing unit and fully software controlled contact angle measurements, Surface free energy and Surface and Interfacial tension measurements. The sessile drop contact angle is measured by a contact angle goniometer using an optical subsystem to capture the profile of a pure liquid on a solid substrate.
Bruker's mechanical testers and tribometer provide the most comprehensive and versatile means of investigating tribology—friction, wear, load, hardness, and lubrication. It offers higher speeds, more torque, and better force measurement and can perform practically every common tribological test on nano and micro scales. Bruker’s UMT-2 is a versatile mechanical testing tool with a wide range of interchangeable drives and fixtures and primarily used for characterization of tribological and mechanical properties of a wide range of surfaces.
The Four Ball Tester is a quality check instrument for lubricants and additives. The unique sample configuration of three bottom balls and one top ball makes a very stable and a repeatable contact in-turn, allowing tests results to be very repeatable. This instrument is used to determine Wear Preventive properties (WP), Extreme Pressure properties (EP) and friction behavior of lubricants.
Dynamic mechanical analyzer is used to study and characterize materials. It is most useful for studying the viscoelastic behavior of polymers. Its innovative design, high functionality, and flexible operation make it ideal for advanced research and routine quality testing in the polymers, composites, pharmaceutical, and food industries. One of the most unique and useful features of the DMA 8000 is its rotating analysis head, which can be oriented through a full 180° for optimal analysis head configuration for virtually any test type and sample geometry.
