Shri. Angrup Sonam joined United India as a Direct Recruit Officer in 1987 and at the very young age of 25 years, he was in-charge of the Branch Office Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh.

He has held several leadership positions as Branch, Divisional & Regional Head. He headed Ludhiana RO as CRM & RO I Delhi as DGM. Under his tenure, DROI made significant progress in the field of digital marketing.

He was also part of the Unisurge Transformation Project in 2007-2008 as a Bancassurance Pilot Project rollout in Delhi and also Motor Dealer in Chandigarh. He has vast experience across all major lines of insurance business.

In June 2021, he joined Head Office as General Manager and supervised various portfolios which include Marketing (all Channels), Miscellaneous (Liability), Crop, Rural, Micro, Corporate Legal, PMS-KRA, RTI, AML, and Official Language Implementation. He has been Overseeing GM for all LCBs, as well as ROs Ahmedabad, Dehradun, Bhopal, and Vadodara.

He is the Chief Liaison Officer for SC/ST and also the Chief Marketing Officer.
