CWSS to Perundurai and 7 other Town Panchayats including 547 way side rural habitations in Erode and Tiruppur Dsitricts with Kodivery Dam in River Bhavani as source was administratively sanctioned vide G. O. Ms No. 54/ MA & WS (WS 1) Dept Dated 29.05.2018 for Rs. 224.00 crore with funding pattern under NABARD and MNP.

The scheme is designed to supply 16.40 MLD (2035) in the intermediate stage and 25.39 MLD (2050) in the ultimate stage to benefit a population of 4.49 Lakh and 5.47 Lakh respectively.

The per capita supply adopted is 135 lpcd for Town Panchayats and 55 lpcd for Rural habitations.

Under the scheme surface water from River Bhavani is drawn from the upstream side of Kodivery Regulator with a baby well and Collection well cum pump house. Raw Water is pumped to Treatment plant of 17.23 MLD Capacity located near Thingalur located at a distance of 29.20 Kms. Clear water is collected in the Clear water reservoir of 11.05 LL capacity. From the sump Clear water is pumped to the 32 nos of Sumps ( 31 sumps + 1 stand post) and then to 80 nos of newly constructed Service Reservoirs and existing Service Reservoirs through a pumping main and feeder main network of 549.53 Kms in the Town Panchayats and the Rural habitations. Then Water is distributed to the public through a distribution net work of 45.35 Kms newly laid and existing D’system

The work order was issued on 07.11.2018.Now all the woks are completed and the scheme is under contractor maintenance.At present 15.24 MLD of water is being supplied to 3.47 lakh population.
