CWSS to Rasipuram Municipality, 8 Town Panchayats – Namagiripettai, Pattanam, Seerapalli, R.Pudhupatti, Vennandhur, Pillanallur, Athanur, Mallasamudram Town Panchayats and 424 Rural Habitations in Rasipuram, Vennandur, Namagiripettai and Puduchatram Unions, with infrastructure facilities to 99 Habitations in Puduchatram Union, and Bulk Provision for 547 Habitations in Mallasamudram, Elachipalayam and Paramathi (11 Panchayats) Unions in Namakkal District was administratively sanctioned vide G.O (MS) No.44, , Dated 14.03.2022 for Rs. 854.37 Crores. The scheme is to be implemented under Jal Jeevan Mission for Rural components and AMRUT 2.0 funds for Urban components

The Intermediate (2037) and Ultimate (2052) population considered in this scheme are 5,13,606 and 5,83,011 ,respectively. By adopting pro-rata supply of 55 LPCD the present ,intermediate and ultimate requirements of water for the scheme is, 76.14 MLD and 86.04 MLD respectively.

It is proposed to draw surface water from River Cauvery at Nedungulam Kattur located in between Kuthiraikal Medu and Neringipettai Barrage with off-take well cum pump house. The raw water will be pumped to the proposed Water Treatment Plant at Kattur with 76.14 MLD capacity through the raw water pumping main of 2.30 km length. The treated water collected in the 43.00 LL capacity clear water reservoir. It is proposed Convey the clear water a pumping main for a length of 1325.29 km to the Existing and Proposed Booster stations panchayat sumps of various capacities. From the panchayat sumps, the water will be pumped through a feeder mains length of --- km to the existing and newly proposed service reservoirs . From the same the water is distribution through a distribution system length of -----Km. In this scheme it is proposed to provide ----- nos of FHSTC.

Work order for this scheme issued on 08.04.23 and the work is under progress. The scheme is targeted for completion by10 /2024 at put into beneficial use.
