CWSS to 547 rural habitations in Mallasamudram, Elachipalayam and Paramathi (11 Panchayats) Unions in Namakkal District was administratively sanctioned for Rs.284.04 Crores in G.O.(4D) No.9 /dt.04.06.2022

The scheme is to be implemented under JAL JEEVAN MISSION funds. The Intermediate (2037) and Ultimate (2052) population considered in this scheme is 215114 and 240651,respectively. By adopting pro-rata supply of 55 LPCD the present ,intermediate and ultimate requirements of water for the scheme are 14.41 MLD, 16.39 MLD and 17.96 MLD respectively.

It is proposed to draw water from two tapping points i.e., (1) at Mangalam Booster station (2) at Kalipatti near Mallasamudram sump under Rasipuram CWSS, The water will be pumped to 9 Booster stations ( 4Nos of Proposed sumps and 5 Nos of existing sumps) through booster main for a length of 64.53 Kms. From these Booster stations through a feeder mains length of 214.465 Kms water will be pumped to all panchayat sumps. From these Panchayat sumps is through a feeder mains length of 633.215 Kms. 52 Nos of new sumps and 77 Nos of new OHTs the water will be distributed through a Distribution system for a length of 639.11 Kms. In this schemes the FHTCs proposed are 22582 Nos.

Work order for this work issued on 02.12.2022 and the work is in progress. The scheme is targeted for completion by 06/2024 at put in to beneficial use.
