CWSIS to 236 Rural Habitation in T.Kallupatty and Sedapatty union in Madurai District with river Vaigai as source was administrativelysanctioned for 240.45 Crore vide G.O(Ms) No:16 MAWS (W.S.I) department /dated:26.07.2022 with the funding pattern under Jal Jeevan Mission

The scheme proposed is for the supply of water to 118 Rural habitations in T.KallupattyUnion and 118 habitations in Sedapatty unions totally236 habitations in Madurai district.

The scheme is designed to supply 14.17MLD(2039) and 15.55 MLD(2054) in the intermediate and ultimate stage to benefit the population of 1.89 Lakh and 2.09 Lakh respectively.The per capita supply adopted is 55 LPCD for rural habitations.

As per the scheme , the existing infrastructures viz. intake well , collection well cum pump house at head works, treatment plant , pumping main from clear water sump to Kanavai, Booster sumps at Thimmarasanaickannur , ridge sump at Kanavai and pump rooms are proposed to be utilized without any modification, as a same are found to be suitable for the revised beneficiaries water requirements of 20054 LPM and 22038 LPM for intermediate and ultimate stage respectively.

Water is gravitated to the existing 19MSRs and New 9 MSRs , 52 SRs. From the service reservoirs water is gravitated to 118 RH in T.Kallupatty and 118 RH in Sedapatty unions through the existing (151.42Km) and newly proposed (385.48 Km) feeder main.It is proposed to provide 44831Nos of FHTC from this scheme

Work order for this scheme was issued on 08.04.2023 and targeted for completion by 10/2024
