UGSS to kurichi and kuniyamuthur areas of coimbatore corporation has administratively sanctioned vide G.O.Ms No.111/dt. 25.10.17 for Rs. 442 Cr and revised administrative sanction has been accorded as per G.O. MS. No. 43 dated 28.02.2019 for Rs. 591.14 Cr. The scheme is under implementation with AMRUT funding.

The sewage collection arrived at an intermediate stage (2035) population of 392349 and ultimate stage (2049) population of 517186 are 40.26 MLD and 53.07 MLD respectively.

The entire project area under the scheme has been divided into 13 sewerage zones with 30 pumping stations and the Sewage collected in the lift/pumping stations will be conveyed to the proposed treatment plant at Vellalore, finally the treated sewage is to be disposed in Noyyal river.

In this project sewer collection system proposal for a length of 414.639 km for collecting sewer from 17754 Machine holes and collected sewage will be pumped to the STP having capacity of 30.55 MLD through a pumping main of 47.605 Km. The total no of HSC proposed in the scheme is 69688 Nos.

The scheme is divided into two packages. Package-1 for Collection system, work order was issued on 05.09.2018 and works are in progress. Package 2 for STP as DBOT system - work order was issued on 05.09.2018 and work completed.

The scheme is targeted for completion by 08/2023.
